Written by Kemdah Stroud (@chiefsaveahoe) This past Tuesday, we joined forces with Social Works, our voting spearheaded sponsors, and Harold Washington Library to present our first town hall panel for the #FlexYourVote initiative. This Friday Nov 4th, we will reconveine for a second town hall to address issues facing our communities, and how we can address politics and each other to create viable solutions. This initiative was designed to engage our fellow millennials with the current climate of politics and the 2016 elections. This town hall panel featured representatives from the health, business, social activism, mixed media arts realms in which moderator Malcolm London proposed a host of questions unveiling the direct impact politics has on their sects.
Tomorrow, Friday November 4th, we are presenting another town hall panel, this time offering an opportunity to speak directly with our panelist to shed impactful insight into the dialogue between each panelists and observing audience. This time, we’re holding the event on the Chicago Urban League at 6pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to get educated about what’s going on in your city and neighborhood, and also to help you make informed decisions on the ballots this election.
