We linked up with Runako and Amato to bring the city a wonderful event to celebrate the season. The mission of the Holiday Social is to provide a space where young creative’s can interact with like-minded peers and enjoy visual art that represents Chicago's alternative street culture. The art viewing will take place during the first half of the night and will feature artists such as Nikko Washington, who has done cover artwork and clothing design for many budding Chicago talents. Other artists being shown are Emani Alon, Steven Mitchell (Frankinstev), and Kari Black with sounds from Nasir X.
For the second half of the night which will transition into a social, which will include a Dj set from Malcolm London, an influential Chicago youth activist. Also look forward to sounds from Evie the Cool, whose has been making a splash on Chicago’s hip hop nightlife scene as a Dj, as well as Wyess Williams. An interactive iPad Phhhoto app booth powered by the Real Boys and will be available for use as an added amenity. The event will be held at a secret location in downtown Chicago, with the exact address being spread by word of mouth and a series of invites. Don’t forget to bring some pre Christmas cash because there will be a pop up also that will be featuring Amato, Runako, Real Boys and more.
