Chicago’s finest Chance The Rapper and The Empowerment Plan Detroit have partnered up to help raise $100,000 to provide 1,000 EMPWR coats to the homeless of Chicago. So far almost $63,000 has been raised with the campaign running until January 13th.
The EMPWR coat is a water-resistant, self heating jacket that can turn into a sleeping bag making the person warm and not susceptible to the harsh conditions of Chicago’s winter. This great innovation is going to assist the city's homeless stay warm this winter. You can do your part by either sponsoring a coat for $100 or simply donating. A $10 donation will get you one entry to win 2 Bulls tickets or 2 White Sox tickets, a $50 donation will get you 10 entries to win 2 Bulls tickets or 2 White Sox tickets, and one entry to win 2 tickets for the 2016 Chance the Rapper show of your choice. The more you donate the better your chances of winning a prize will be. As if helping the homeless was not a good enough incentive to donate, maybe the prizes will be. Donate here to help keep someone warm this winter and earn a chance to win a prize.
