Throughout the past few years several NBA teams have restructured their homecourt's hardwood, the Chicago Bulls joined the wave today and have released their new design for the United Center.
Though much looks the same, a lot has changed. The iconic Bulls head logo at the center court has nearly doubled in size while the basketball that was behind the head at center court has been removed. The "Chicago Bulls" font on each baseline has also been changed, creating more consistency in marketing, and all the lines on the new hardwood have changed from red and white to black, again adding consistency to the Bulls Franchise's marketing scheme. To add to its Chicago pride, the court will feature the four Chicago stars on the sideline.
The newly designed hardwood is set to make its debut on October 6th, when the Bulls host the Milwaukee Bucks in their home pre season opener.
