Written by: Brandon Brown Twitter officially put their plan to double to character count for tweets in effect today, making a new total of 280. We’ve all had a cool tweet idea or needed to get something off our chest but the character limit was preventing that. According to USA Today “The change won't apply to Chinese, Japanese, or Korean languages because the density of those languages' writing allows users to say more with fewer characters.” Thankfully the change is in effect for languages such as English. Trying to cram a bunch of words into a tweet to fit the original 140 character limit is now a thing of the past.
