Written By: Brandon Brown The UnMask Project got inspired to take on a crazy task: show emotion through masks. This new contraption showcases emotion by responding to movement via embedded LED lights in the masks. Due to poor air quality, many residents of China are forced to wear masks. They feel wearing masks may be the future to everyone; due to human influence on ecology, and other natural things that may occur. So, to keep things less bland and more personal, the LED lights respond to a person's facial expressions, like smiling and frowning. This is a very interestingly innovative concept that may very well be handy to us all one day. You can get all the details you need at simonerebaudengo.com/#/unmask/ “For environmental and social reasons, mask are more and more common in many parts of our world. As we believe in the value of some random emotional exchange in the streets, How would you read someone else's subtle facial reaction to your words? How would you have a conversation when you barley can see each other? How would the simple act of exchanging a smile happen between two people crossing paths?”- Simone Rebaudengo
