Written By: Lance Rowland (@LanceDR7) April 22nd marks the 10th annual National Record Store Day, an event dedicated to celebrating the culture of independently owned record stores worldwide. Rock musician Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent, was appointed as the ambassador for this years event. For those who aren’t so familiar Record Store Day, it’s a special day where the majority of music lovers come together, and take part in various celebrations at their local record store. Venues often host performances by artists, meet & greets, DJ sets, and many other types of entertainment. To add to the hype, exclusive LP’s and CD’s are made in honor of Record Store Day. Amongst this year’s special releases, fans are thrilled about Lil Uzi’s 2016 mixtape, Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World, coming out as a deluxe LP. Some other notable favorites coming out include Andre 3000’s “All Together Now” on 7" vinyl and Red Hot Chili Peppers “Go Robot” on a 12" picture disc.
