Chicago artist Ajani Jones is back on our pages today with his latest offering, the visual for his track “Pyramids”, which features his Closed Sessions label mate Kweku Collins.
The pair sound at ease over introspective, cruising-down-the-streets-at-night production (courtesy of Sebastian Kamae) and each MC weaves his flow to deliver memorable bars. The visual, handled by Flow Motion Media, depicts Jones in a number of spots, namely inside an abandoned warehouse while a strange, floating ball rotates and moves. Jones raps, “never take for granted, see my mind, I expand it and brand it, good vibes tell it to a sphinx, when you pray five times to the east”. Collins comes in with a verse himself, stamping on his self-aware flow before the track fades out and the video concludes with the final shot on the strange shape floating over a river.
