Chance the Rapper delivers a bit of his old flow with, "Angels", but does so in real time. Staying with authentic sounds, the production is comprised of seemingly live instrumentation. Chance reignites not only his former flow, but recruits Saba of Pivot Gang to bless the hook. We haven't heard these two together since "Everybody's Something" on Acid Rap!
Both MCs are distinguished by production so unsurprisingly, "Angels" has a sonic basis inciting euphoria, that the duo devours. You feel nestled between white sand beaches, and your favorite memory of No School Monday parties. They've seemingly accomplished what Pharell attempted with the "Happy" song. Somehow, "Angels" all around feels like home.
You know Chicago is an innovative force driving culture right now, so make sure you pay attention to what's happening on the front line. Check out "Angels", the latest from Chance the Rapper, featuring Saba, below.
