Prime favorite Daylight Tone is back with “What Would Daylight Do”, a four-track EP on which he continues to build on his “left lane” sound as an artist, which revolves around upbeat sonics and a balance of bars and catchy hooks from Daylight.
On “WAY UP”, Daylight proclaims his rise in the lines, “I’m on my way up, my weight up, don’t ask me to wait up, don’t wait up, imma make ‘em pay up, they gon’ pay today”. He’s determined to get his, that’s what Daylight would do — hence the name of the project. With the help of Chicago producer Banks The Genius, who produced all four tracks, Daylight has a project that captures his personality and artistry well for those familiar with his sound and new listeners alike.
