Chicago has some fierce new talent making waves in 2017, and the latest to submit his name into the ring is none other than Duffle Bag Buru with his first song of the year entitled “Spread”.
Tapping another budding Chicago artist, IsaiahG, for the feature, the two trade bars over the Conner David production. Buru’s flow is nice and wavy while he spits about his needs of “bread” and “newer things”, while turning in a melodic hook as well. Isaiah counteracts Buru with a rapid fire flow about his time being supposedly MIA and having dreams of being the “chosen one” and “Sosa’s son”.
As Buru gears up for the rest of 2017, we will have to wait and see if this is a one off loosie or potentially the beginning of a new project from the rising Chicago artist.
