Written by: Zach Deitz This Sunday, January 18th, check out @assiest, otherwise known as mixed media artist Darius Airo, as he has his first solo show, titled “Strings and Rope”, at Rev. Billy’s Chop Shop, located at 4314 N. Lincoln. The show starts at 5PM, and will go until about 10PM. The show will feature many works by Airo, everything from large works on canvas, to small prints. This show comes off the success that @assiest had on January 9th, at the opening of his group show, at the MILC Pop-Up shop.
Darius was born and raised in Chicago, and is a very good friend of all at Prime Fortune, and we encourage everyone to come out and stimulate themselves by checking out his vast array of visual offerings. The show is free, and some light refreshments will be provided as well. Some pictures are included in the article, so you can get a better feel for his abstract, unique style. It would be an understatement to say that Airo has been gaining notice, as of late, and this show can only work to further bolster his status as one of the main, young, artist in Chicago.
