So let’s start with the name ‘Fantasy Camp,’ how did you come up with that?:

Fantasy Camp was just the title of a beat I had sent to Wicca Phase. I tried to name the beats based on what they sounded like and that one kinda just stuck. It doesn’t really mean anything other than representing my music sonically.
Who are some of your musical inspirations?:

I’ve been an avid music fan since a young age so my musical inspirations are all over the place. Anything from mainstream and underground rap, to indie and emo rock bands, to hardcore and punk. I love britpop and post punk too, it’s too hard to pin down just a few inspirations.

I’ve noticed you do acoustic MP3s as well, how long have you known how to play the guitar?:

My grandpa taught me how to play guitar when I was 9, so about 13 years.

We see you around Wicca Phase a lot, how did that come about?:

When I was a sophomore in high school, I was really into Title Fight, Balance and Composure, Tigers Jaw, etc. and I saw him post from TJ’s tumblr account that he was looking for beats. I had been making beats for about 2 years so I sent him a bunch and we made his first album FEB13 together. After that, we met in person and have been friends since. He has been my biggest influence and mentor in music since I was introduced to this scene. I can’t thank him enough.

So, recently yourself, Lil Zubin, Wicca Phase, NEDARB, FoxWedding & Jon Simmons have started the group called “Misery Club,” who’s idea was it to start a collective?:

Well, it was kind of a couple different ideas clashed into one. Our friend Matt had suggested that the 4 of us get together for a weekend and record an EP. We did it, but we didn’t have a name. A few weeks later Zubin told me he wanted to start a collective called Misery Club, it was just us 2 at first. We mentioned it to Jon and Wicca and they were down, so it became what it is now. Ned and Fox had produced the tape entirely so we asked them to be in it. It really is a group full of all my favorite musicians so I feel very lucky to be a part of it.

How is your relationship with Lil Zubin and how did you two meet?:

Wicca Phase told me about Zubin around April of 2017. I loved his music and I was still only producing at that point so I hit him up to send him beats. We made “where u at girl” and kept in contact. When I started singing on my beats, I asked if he would get on one which is how the song “Heartbreaker” came about. Then we did the EP, and he’s become one of my closest friends.

Who and or what inspired you to start making music and at what age did you first start?

I’ve been very into music since the moment I could speak pretty much. There’s videos of me as a 3 year old banging on pots and pans singing The Offspring. My parents are pretty young so I was always hearing rap music too which was my first serious interest in music. Then, around age 9 my older sister and her boyfriend showed me nu metal like Slipknot, Mudvayne, System of a Down, etc. and I got really into that. Ever since then, I’ve always just been on the internet looking for new music constantly. My parents also put me in a rock school where I learned how to play instruments and played in bands.

What is your favorite song to perform and why?:

My favorite song to perform is Stay because it’s fun to sing.

You’ve been to a lot of cities to perform now that your off tour, what city is your favorite city to perform in?:

It’s really hard to pick one, but I really love Boston, Chicago, and Houston.

Who are some producers and or artists you hope to work with in the near future?:

Producers: Clams Casino, Marvy Ayy, Internet Money.

Artists: Juice Wrld, Bladee, Alice Glass.

A lot of my favorite artists i’ve done songs with already (most of them unreleased as of now)

Badass q&a! Stay is my jam so I’m glad that’s his favorite song to play.
