Chicago’s own femdot. [@femdotdotcom] just dropped “(u)no.”, the fourth and final tape in his compilation “20/20”, which he released in full simultaneously. The tape snaps, with Femi bodying each of the four tracks, which boast fiery production from frequent collaborators Charles Lauste [@CharlesImLauste] and Mike Wavvs [@MikeWavvs].
The project is a coming-out party of sorts for Femdot, who has been steadily working and building up a core of listeners inside and outside the city, all while balancing music with his schoolwork at DePaul. Femi drops a golden verse on “goonsquad.”, in the midst of which he plays off names while comparing himself to them: “should’ve been Draymond, could’ve been Trayvon, Martin Luther King Dilla”. “(u)no.” makes for an energizing, empowering listen that is sure to excite both femdot.’s blossoming fan base and new listeners alike.
