Waukegan rapper Goldchain Veto just dropped his debut project, “Look Me In My Eyes”, an 11-song mixtape on which he demonstrates serious potential as an artist. Goldchain goes in over stellar production from the likes of Hwangchan Yu, Don Trevino, PoloBoyShawty, CashMoneyAp and DJFlipp, amongst others.
Each beat on the tape feels as if it was made specifically for Goldchain to apply his laid-back yet confident flow, and his lyrics give life to the image of himself as a Don Juan, dripping style into every bar. On “Glisten”, Goldchain embodies this, rapping, “show her how I’m livin, Cav Empt t-shirt Acne denims, lil baller keep countin’ tickets, and all these shawties takin’ pics, they lowkey and they never miss”. “Look Me In My Eyes” is a coming out party for Goldchain Veto as an artist — it showcases him at his freshest and finest — and it is an alluring body of work for both longtime and first time listeners. Be sure to check out “Look Me In My Eyes”, which you can stream on Goldchain Veto’s Soundcloud with the link below.
