From Barbados to Brooklyn, Haleek Maul prides himself on potent lyricism and pristine vocals. Both are present at their highest levels yet on his latest single “Halo” with Chicago emcee Mick Jenkins.
Produced by Sebastian Sartor, Haleek finds himself over some ethereal chords with rolling hi-hats and booming 808s. Haleek shows off his prowess as a dual-threat bouncing from crooning the otherworldly hook to firing off a verse with a rapid flow, stating, “You claim that you damaged, that’s two of us, I hope I can bandage your wound.” No matter the cost to himself, Haleek is an artist and a man that puts the people and their interests ahead of his own for the greater good. Mick delivers a solid verse to top it off, explaining the difference between the “chameleon shit” and “Chamillionaire.”
The track follows up the single “Ceiling Fan” released last month in preparation for his debut album Errol set to drop this coming February. Stream the latest release below!
