Chicago rapper HateSonny has been one of the most consistent artists in the region this year. He just dropped off a new visual for “Special”, a track off his most recent EP, “The Devil’s Advocate”.
Sonny tapped OpticVisuals for the vdieo, which follows him around the city as he declares defiantly, “please don’t think you special, cause you not”. Sonny flows effortlessly over mesmerizing synths and resonant bass lines provided by producer Luke Almighty, rapping, “I don’t wanna link, these folks is fake I swear you props, I don’t wanna hear that shit you talkin’, b**** I hate it, n**** stop”. “Special” is yet another confident statement from HateSonny: he’s making waves in the city and those in the field right now don’t have anything he can’t match or surpass.
