High Five put out their new single “Heavy But Lite” last night, with HRSH, Reasy Stones, and Ease World all combining their unique styles to create a flowing, melodic track.
Reasy Stones handled the calm, smooth beat, over which HRSH spits lines about how he’ll always ride for his guys: “this is practice on the beat I need a patent for the team, they on my back until it bleed”. Ease World handles the reflective hook and Reasy jumps in with his verse, during which he declares, “when I say it I mean it, I’m killin’ all of my demons”. This bit is just the latest from Waukegan-based High Five, who are steadily working on new music and mastering their flows.
