It’s rare to find a rapper that has such diversity with beat selection and shows proficiency when rapping over these beats, but that’s just what we get in Chicago, with Javon being the latest spark with his single “Atlanta”.
Hopping over Zero Fatigue member Monte Booker’s production, the signature vocal chops hit you right out of the gate, and combine with his signature key work to create an astounding sound. Javon comes in red hot, “Messing with me shouldn’t really be a challenge/I faced too much, damn near lost my balance”. His voice has a unique tone to it, and emphasizing each bar with an equally unique set of inflections truly lends itself to creating an instrument out of his vocals. Defining yourself is important for any young artist, and Javon truly makes his mark with this record.
Javon recently came off a long hiatus back in mid June, so with the fire reignited, keep your eye out for what the young emcee has for the rest of the summer and beyond.
