Monster Mike's incredibly assuring potential, underground valor, and lyrical craftsmanship set him apart from the current climate of rap. So the title of his latest body of work being 3K19 is more than fit. Distinguished by his deep vocal presence, in-pocket cadence, and an easy-going delivery, ‘3k19’ is the representation of everything that makes Mike the Monster that he is.
Mike provides a particular source of refreshment from a special cloth through self-reflection and wordplay. Chicago's own Justiiice's executive production 3K19 revolves around an NBA theme seen with lyrics like "I be on the bench, you know I don't play" on the song, WHAT I DO.
His vocal approach for entails consistency and resonation. The content touches on Mike's life, including his exes and the trust issues that came out of those relationships. Justiiice did justice to the instrumentation with floor-shaking bass and catchy melodies, creating the alley-oop for Mike to spew cultural references and slick wordplay for a well made final product which is topped off by an Old Town Road remix.
