Niko has quietly been building a buzz, grinding ,hustling but always peeping. And it seems like the young bull is tired of being humble.
Ballin’ has an ambient in-the-air feel that off the rip has you feeling outer worldly. Niko puts an effect on his vocals during the hook that has an almost digital feel to it. It definitely puts you in a trace, and Niko gets wavy off that joint.
“Got you niggas dreaming but we still been scheming ay
Give 'em colder shoulders got 'em overdosing over borders
Comatose the ghost and leave 'em fo' they back again
They fronted on me had to back 'em in
And Danny back moving them packs again
That loud is louder than a African”
Ballin’ not only showcases the Atlanta resident’s ability to approach a song in a unique way other than your standard 16 hook 16 model, but his creativity in songwriting.
Around 2:21 the track does a complete switch up, which you never seen coming. Predictability is often a stumbling block for many new artist, which goes to show that Niko has put in obvious work.
If you are not familiar with the Atlanta native’s previous work I highly recommend “Over You” which he dropped a little over a month ago, as well as latest EP - When It Comes Crashing Down
