Today, we’re excited to premiere Minnesota artist ZERO’s first track, “BAD LUCK”, since changing his name from Connor Marques. ZERO went crazy on this one, teaming up with one of Chicago’s top production talents, Luke Almighty, to craft a song perfect for his persona and his message.
The beat sees a blend of soft, guitar chords with simmering high hats and a strong base, and ZERO effortlessly flows over it with his commanding raps. He speaks on how he can’t be associated with fakes, rapping, “they still wonder who I am, ask around you know I move, keep the phony out my face, I cannot f*** with all these dudes, they still smile in my face, I can’t stand ‘em that’s the truth”. ZERO has been on a roll lately, collaborating with a variety of artists and producers to keep a consistent product coming out, and “BAD LUCK” is no different.
