Prince- "Art Official Age"

Prince dropped not one but two albums on the same day! Each one is different in its own way. Let's talk about "Art Official Age."

Prince begins the album with the title track,"Art Official Age." This track is the typical kind of music we are used to from Prince. It is very electric and has a danceable beat. One of the poignant tracks is, "Breakdown." Prince's high pitched voice and slow beat creates a track that will bring you back to the time you had that one break up that you will never forget. 

"This Could Be Us" is a track that anyone trying to swoon a certain female could use as a guide. One of the strangest things on the track is "Affirmation I & II." There is a female voice  that sounds like a self-help tape. Affirmation I is stated as there are no such words as me and mine when it comes to a relationship with the opposite sex. 

Affirmation III is the voice of a female asking how you are doing, especially to the adjustments of not thinking of just yourself but of the other person as well., and that they are communicating telepathically. This is the part of the album that just doesn't gel with me. 

Overall, we have Prince back with new tracks but the same kind of elements within his tracks; electric, danceable, poignant, and sometimes strange. Take a listen below to the album.
