Budding Chicago talent Ravyn Lenae released “Midnight Moonlight EP” a few weeks back, her first project since “Moon Shoes EP” from 2015. Lenae looks to continue her come-up with this appealing, soothing project, dropping it while in the latter stages of touring with fellow Chicagoan Noname.
The project has a calm, peaceful sound, with slow and melodic production, over which the eighteen-year old’s melodic smoothly drifts over to create the blissful end-product. Lenae sings of love and other topics, and on “Last Breath” presents the ultimatum, “got to let me know right now, right now, are you gonna show right now, right now?”
The EP is a demonstration of Lenae’s development as an artist, and one can only figure she has more in store for the rest of 2017. You can stream “Midnight Moonlight EP” on Lenae’s Soundcloud in the link below (or on Spotify or Apple Music).
