Robert Frost is a collaboration between Chicago artists San Soma and Swill the Will.
For starters, the production matches Swills flow and emotion perfectly. The Odesza sample fits perfectly and the drums are heavy and fluid. The song clocks in at about 5 minutes, but the breakdowns keep you enthralled in the track.
Lyrically, you can feel the emotion; the inner battle that humans face between the dichotomy of what you believe and what you manifest into the physical. Overall the song is dreamy yet powerful. It combines a lot of Chicago sounds and influences, while at the same time staying fresh and clearly his own style.
Swill has been mastering his craft and with this track he has cemented himself as a force to be reckoned with within the scene. Do not sleep on him, call him willie coffee. His mixtape “Hiatus” is almost done and will be dropping late summer, look out for it. The Prime squad will keep you updated.
