As sand passes through the hourglass, Sac Town’s Dceased remerges from the depths with phenomenal producer Timothy Mclean aka Tellapath to deliver a soulfully entrenched mixtape called “China White.”
I’ve been following Dceased since late 2010 and everything that has entered my ear drums has been instrumentally intoxicating. Dceased hails from the city of Sacramento and Tellapath hails from San Jose but both are members of TBC (The Breakfast Club or The Bad Crowd) and are also a rap duo by the name of UnlikePeople. Dceased recently took a hiatus from social networks to focus on the crafting and perfection of his most recent work of art. “China White” was produced by frequent TBC collaborator Telly Mclean. Tellapath encapsulates such a vivacious sound within each track, you will be entranced by the instrumentation alone. What I love most from these two guys is how they always bring this fusion of Neo-Jazz/Soul/Boom-Bap that meshes so appropriately with the poetically but philosophically dark toned lyricism. Prime Fortune hopes for more from these two, check out “China White” in the link below.
