Schneid drops loosies sparingly, delivering vital reality checks in each track. Topping off 2016, Schneid’s “Brunch” captures our twisted experience of relationships perfectly. Yes, he discusses ties romantically; but ultimately instills the idea that we, as a whole, obsess over what could have been.
He still appreciates the simplicity of living in the moment, but it seems like everyone around him has lost that sense of joy; only caring about keeping up with status quo.
The fact that Schneid produces his own tracks add another sense of authenticity to his music. Along with some textured vocals from Sensei, Schneid's genuine self expression differentiates tracks like “Brunch” from most ‘rap’ we hear today. To be a rapper is to be a journalist documenting humanity. Schneid not only writes in raw form, but creates; producing full stories with himself as the antagonist. Hopefully my rant makes you as excited to see what else Schneid has to offer in his upcoming project, Tangerine. Until then, check out “Brunch” below.
