Written by: Kemdah Stroud (@chiefsaveahoe) Supa Bwe is one half of the Chicago rap duo, Hurt Everybody. The last full project we heard from them was the Hurt Everybody EP, but Supa just recently released a solo project titled, "Mausoleum EP" The 7 song collective is a much more serene vibe than I'm used to hearing from Chicago, but Supa's almost screeching voice pairs perfectly over delicate beats, since he himself produced most of the project. There are a few features, but the most notable is Mick Jenkins, who was also featured on Hurt Everybody EP in "Treat Me Caucasian". The track with his feature is titled "Judas", the outro of the project. The concluding track produced by Sami Beatz and Mulatto, makes it the only track produced by others on the tape. Overall, Supa Bwe is growing as an artist, which we can tell from the "Mausoleum EP" in terms of both rapping and production. He's always been in his own lane in the Chicago hip hop scene, but he's getting more and more comfortable being in his own realm, seemingly from the music. Check out the "Mausoleum EP" below.
