The latest Chicago collective to come together for a release, The Lost Boys have now thrown their name into Chicago’s ever growing pool of music with their first official project entitled Please Stand By.
Although it happens to contain 14 tracks, the project does not top the thirty minute mark. The tracks are interlaced together with TV static as well as commercials and theme songs from various shows. The tape tackles the vices of life on tracks such as “Spaceman”, where they label themselves as “sucidial millenials” and can immediately switch the pace on a record like “Brand New” with more uptempo production and bars full of stuntworthy quotables.
The two previous singles off the tape, “strange.” and “LIGHT SPEED” stand out as high points in the project for very good reasons. Each member delivers such a unique style to each track and a definite voice that sets them apart from each other but at the same time meshes together to create a truly impactful first drop to make a footprint in the Chicago scene. As The Lost Boys plot out their next move, check out their project below and be on the lookout for more to come.
