Chicago collective Thy Neighbors just released their new single “TRAIN TAKEOVER”, a song about kicking it in the city with no responsibilities and endless possibilities. Their first release since their EP “Howl” came out back in March, “TRAIN TAKEOVER” showcases the group’s defiant rock-rap sound.
Led by the vocals from versatile MC Ethos, the track epitomizes a carefree summer full of adventure. He paints the picture, singing, “and there’s nowhere to go, and there’s nothing to do, headed towards downtown with a couple of brews, with a couple of friends that you could do better with, lookin’ for someone cute that you could flirt with”. It’s hard to think of a group that has a sound quite like Thy Neighbors. Check it out for yourself — stream “TRAIN TAKEOVER” on their Soundcloud below.
