Written by: Bradley Johnson If you know anything about Chicago hip-hop then you know the name Hollywood Holt. The tastemaker has had a hand in the scene for almost a decade through his music, designing, event hosting and more. Fans of the polymath have been patiently waiting for him to finally release new music after being teased with some so many years ago. Now it seems the time has finally come, as the Chicago rapper now simply known as Holt, has signed to Kanye West's GOOD Music imprint and is gearing up to release his long awaited debut album. The first new offering of music we're blessed with is "Nightcall", a cover of the Kavinsky track of the same name. Produced by his cousin and fellow Treated Crew member Mano, "Nightcall" might appear like a simple cover track at first, but it definitely has a certain flair that we can only expect from Holt. The video, which was directed by Holt himself, is a tribute the movie "Drive", where the Kavinsky track originally appeared. I know I can speak for many when saying that new Holt music is definitely welcomed and anticipated. Be on the lookout for the Treated Crew generals debut album coming soon via GOOD Music.
