Sporting an Illinois State t-shirt, an unkept dread top and an eye of self awareness, Monster Mike wants you to know that he where he’s coming from and lets you know so in his newest single a “What I Get Into” released earlier this week.
The song starts off low. The beat is begins at a calm and Mike’s voice at an inside level. Here is where he details his persona. He’s a cold verse below:
“You know my hands be active and I mean that shit in every sense
I tweaked on my lil fingers cause they askin’ and I feel that shit
I think there's different kinds of pains, just like there's different kinds of stains
Just like there’s different kinds of gains, but my shit I put on my face
I’m about that life..
What takes you by surprise is that the instrumental, which once started at a low lull, escalates into a huge drop that gets up jumping out of your chair. I dare you to hear this in a live setting and not get hype.
Monster Mike is part of the Chicago hip-hop scene that is literally taking over by storm. Peep more of his music on Prime Fortune.
